Dr.Annathur Vaudevan
Born in 1942 in an ardent Sri Vaishnava family at Annathur village in Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu, completed his early childhood education in village school. Later joined Sri Ahobila Mutt Oriental School, Madurantakam in 1953 for further education. Had his Upanayanam and Panchasamskaram under the auspices feet of his holiness Thevanarvilagam Azhagiyasingar, the 43rd Pontiff of Sri Ahobila Mutt.


Later in1960 he joined the Madras Sanskrit College and continued Mimamsa Siromani course On completing Siomani, Siksha Shastri and general education courses, worked as a Samskrit Pandit in the Savitri Ammal Oriental Higher Secondary School, Mylapore for about 23 Years, Later he joined Sri Ahobila Mutt Samskrit College, Madurantakam as a Principal where he had been instrumental in obtaining UGC accreditation for the courses offered. He had also established several vital facilities in the College library benefitting scores of students. Later he joined as a professor in the Samskrit
He was the recipient of the National Award for the Teachers in the year 1988 and had received the Presidential accolade then. He was honored with the title 'Samskrta Prachara Caturah for propagating Samskskrit by the Jnnana Vikasa Kendra, Chennai in 1989. He was honored Samskrta Seva Sammana by the Samskrit Prachara Samithi, Hyderabad in 2006. He was honoured with the title 'Kalasala Ratnam' by the Alumini Association of the Madras Samskrit College, Mylapore, in the year 2015.
He has been a member of the Academic Advisory Committee, Sanskrit Education Society, Chennai. He was a member of the Board of Studies of the University Madras and Sri Chandrasekharendra Saraswati Viswa Maha Vidyalaya. He is the Founder Secretary of the Samskrit Pandits' Association (Regd.) Chennai. He is also the Founder Trustee of the "SRI MALOLA SADANAM (Regd.) Trust.
